While I was playing the Tuesday league for Nags Head A Team, I happened to play against Stevie Lees one day.
She liked my game and invited me to play for her Women's Super League team Shepherd's house Inn. She was the captain of that team.
Should I say from that day on my life changed ? I think it did in a way. Before that I had never taken Darts very seriously. It was just a diversion from the boring and monotonous life I had.
Since I joined the Sheps though, I actually practised almost every day. Even if I didn't Gopal would come and yell at me for not practising. So, afraid of losing in the super league games (There's a match every Thursday) and more afraid of my husband, I did indeed take it up very seriously !
From then on it has been a roller coaster journey for me.
